{"id":3911,"date":"2022-11-08T18:18:12","date_gmt":"2022-11-08T17:18:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lifegarachico.eu\/?p=3257"},"modified":"2023-02-16T17:59:25","modified_gmt":"2023-02-16T16:59:25","slug":"levantamiento-hidrografico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lifegarachico.eu\/en\/levantamiento-hidrografico\/","title":{"rendered":"Hydrographic Survey in the framework of the LIFE Garachico Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company Elittoral, a member of the LIFE Garachico project consortium (LIFE20 CCA\/ES\/001641), has carried out a bathymetric survey in the Garachico area that will allow us to know in detail the depths of the most vulnerable areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bathymetry (the marine equivalent to altimetry on the earth&#039;s surface) allows us to obtain information not only on depth, but also on the structure and relief of the seabed. Elittoral carried out the survey with a Multibeam Echosounder, from which a map with a resolution in centimeters of the seabed will be obtained. Source: Crane and Machinery<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The surveys were carried out between October 24 and 25, with the support of local fishermen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The data collected during the field campaign will be used to generate the cartography required by the numerical model that will feed the early warning system.
