The project seeks to identify the impacts of climate change on the built environment of coastal zones, develop a comprehensive framework for climate change adaptation, understand capacity gaps in climate change adaptation, and promote interdisciplinary and innovative research-based learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results of the project include a review of the impacts of climate change in urbanized coastal areas, a framework for the integration of international agreements in the context of climate change impacts, a guide to good practices for the implementation of local measures, among others. These results will contribute to improving the knowledge and skills of professionals in the built environment in coastal areas, as well as inform policy making related to climate change adaptation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BEACON is an important practical and scientific contribution to address adaptation to climate change in coastal areas, and its results are expected to be widely used by local and national authorities, international organizations and professionals in the construction sector in coastal areas.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El Simposio Internacional de Investigaci\u00f3n BEACON: Climate Change Adaptation in the Coastal Built Environment llevado a cabo los d\u00edas 19 y 20 de junio en Santander, reuni\u00f3 a investigadores y profesionales de diversos campos.
