"We are urban societies, we have lost contact with the environment and we have to recover it" stated Gustavo Pestana Pérez, Head of the Climate Change and Environmental Information Service of the Vice-Ministry for the Fight against Climate Change and Ecological Transition of the Government of the Canary Islands, at the activity of the CONAMA Innova space held on November 22 within the framework of the 16th National Environmental Congress (CONAMA 2022).
In his talk, he presented LIFE Garachico as an example of an innovative project, which seeks solutions to environmental problems and defends the need to adapt to them. In the following video you can see his presentation (from minute 1:04:17), as well as the rest of the presentations of different local innovation projects that are being carried out by consulting and technology companies and the local administrations of different communities.
Conama Innova is a space for the dissemination of innovation projects in Spain. A meeting place where exhibition, reflection and exchange come together presenting projects that are leading the transformation towards more sustainable societies.
