Within the framework of the project, an important meeting was held today to improve inter-administrative coordination in response to risk alerts issued by the Early Warning System developed at LIFE Garachico.

Today various key actors have come together to begin to outline the protocol through which the coastal flood risk alerts for the municipality of Garachico will be transmitted to CECOES. These alerts will inform about the probability of occurrence of the events and will include the technical characteristics that have been identified by the different risk managers.

Among the participants who have attended the online meeting were the head of the Local Police of Garachico, the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife (security and civil protection and exploitation area), the CECOES, the DGSE, the Government of the Canary Islands and the partners of the LIFE Garachico project.
