The LIFE Garachico project was present at the second biogeographic seminar held in Terceira (Portugal) between November 8 and 10.
During this event the Member States with land in the biogeographic region macaronesica met to debate and exchange progress, challenges and plans to develop commitments focused on expanding protected areas and improving the conservation status within the framework of the 2030 Biodiversity Strategy. This meeting is the second of the biogeographic seminars planned in the coming months, the objective of which is to facilitate collaboration and debate during the period in which Member States work on their national commitments to achieve the “30 by 30” objective, which consists of expanding the current network of protected areas in Europe until reaching the 30% of the entire EU territory in 2030.

The technical coordinator participated by presenting a poster of the project where the objectives and expected results during the coming years were shown in the session. Knowledge Market which took place on the first day of the event.
